SARS: Trump isn’t your business, face your country – Wizkid blasts Buhari

  Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as ‘Wizkid’ has called out President Muhammadu Buhari for responding a quickly to Donald Trump’s health issues and for remaining unconcerned about security issues in Nigeria. DAILY POST had reported that a team of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police allegedly killed a young man on Saturday. The incident occurred in front of Wetland Hotel, Ughelli in Delta State. The operatives allegedly shot the citizen and left the scene in the victim’s vehicle – a white Lexus jeep. Their actions led to a general outcry by Nigerians who are calling for an end to the brutality from SARS operatives. Reacting, Wizkid in a tweet via his Twitter account on Sunday blasted Buhari for not responding to the outcry in Nigeria.   KING ASA  

COVID-19: ‘I’m leaving hospital’ – Trump announces

  President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has announced that he is leaving the hospital where he is undergoing treatment for COVID-19. The President said he now feels better “than I did 20 years ago.” Recall that Trump and his wife tested positive for COVID-19 late last week. Trump said on Monday evening that he is ready to leave the Walter Reed Medical Centre, urging Americans not to be afraid of coronavirus. Trump tweeted, “I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of COVID. “Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs and knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!” KING ASA  

Osun: Police arrest civil servant, filmmaker over alleged rape of teenager

  The Osun Police Command has arrested a teacher, Gbenga Samson Ayenioye and his friend, a theatre practitioner, Tunde AmokeOja, for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl (name withheld) who is said to be one of his students. The civil servant and his friend, Amokeoja were arrested for allegedly raping the teenager on different occasions. It was gathered that Ayenioye, who was a Financial Accounting teacher at Osogbo Grammar School, invited the girl; his students, to a relaxation centre at Latona area in Osogbo on Sunday, February 16, 2020. Ayenioye, a married man, in his early 40s, was said to have allegedly forced the girl to bed and later introduced her to his friend, AmokeOja, a theatre practitioner on the promise that he would assist in developing her film acting skills in order to be able to raise funds for her WAEC fee. FG, South East Governors, others commend Ugwuanyi’s support for FRSC Academy

The federal government, governors of the South East geo-political zone and other stakeholders, have commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, for his administration’s commitment and uncommon support towards the completion of the Administrative Block of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Academy, at Udi Local Government Area of the state. The FRSC Academy which is a centre of excellence for the acquisition of skills in road traffic administration and safety management in Africa was relocated from its temporary site in Jos, Plateau State to Udi, Enugu State, in 2014, after the Enugu State Government gave the Corps 35 hectares of land and further committed to providing the internal road network in the facility as well as a befitting administrative block.
